La Liga has confirmed that Mateu Lahoz will be the referee for the clash between Real Madrid & Barcelona on Sunday night.
Mateo Lahoz has been chosen as the referee for the Clásico. González González will oversee the VAR.
It will be the fifth Clasico referee by Mateu Lahoz. In the previous four, Barca won one, Madrid two and draw one.
Long history of red cards
In his career, Mateu Lahoz has been characterized as a referee who lets play but in turn for several controversial expulsions.
As for Barça and Madrid, Mateu expelled Barça players up to six times, while Real Madrid four times.
