OFFICIAL: Philippe Diallo to remain FFF interim president until June

  /  autty

According to RMC Sport, the members of the French FA’s executive board have announced that Philippe Diallo will remain interim president of the organisation until June, in the wake of Noël Le Graët’s resignation this morning.

Diallo had been in charge since Le Graët stepped back from his duties at the start of January, notably in the wake of dismissive comments regarding Zinédine Zidane’s chances of becoming France manager and pending the results of a government-mandated audit into the FFF. The final conclusions of the audit have accused him of various instances of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour, which he has denied.

With Le Graët’s departure now made official, Diallo will remain interim until this summer, when a federal assembly will take place. He had been vice-president of the organisation since December 2021, and was previously the president of the French professional clubs’ union for nearly twenty years. He is the son of former French boxing champions Souleymane Diallo.
