It's six years to the day that Diego Ribas scored one of the great Champions League goals at the Camp Nou.
During the quarter-final first leg between Diego's Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in 2014, the Brazilian launched an unstoppable strike past Jose Manuel Pinto.
The wondergoal saw the visitors take the lead at the Camp Nou before Neymar equalised later in the second half.
"It was a great goal," Diego said afterwards.
"It was a very important goal. I'm very happy.
"The last few games weren't easy for me. I was very happy because the team was always winning, but playing, scoring goals and helping the team is the most important thing. That's why I'm here."
Despite not getting the game time he wanted, Diego was full of praise for Simeone in a later interview with MARCA.
"He's one of the best coaches I've had," he said of El Cholo.
"He loves winning and that's contagious for his players. I still use any of the things I learned with him in my daily life here. He's a special person and one of the best coaches in the world."
Koke's early goal in the second leg settled the tie and saw Diego Simeone's side reach the semi-finals before going on to lose the final to Real Madrid in Lisbon.
