On April 2, according to Barcelona's official news, the club has renewed its contract with Kluivert's youngest son, Shane, until 2028.

The contract with Shane Kluivert has been extended for two seasons, with the new contract running until June 30, 2028.
Shane Kluivert was born on September 24, 2007, in Zaandam, Netherlands, and joined Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain's youth team in the summer of 2017. As the son of former Barcelona player Kluivert, Shane joined as a player in the U11A team, and then gradually progressed through the various levels of the team with the golden generation of 2007.
Last season, Shane made great contributions to Barcelona's U19A team in achieving the treble, and this season he is one of the core players of the team coached by Polo Planas. As a Dutch youth international at all levels, Shane has played in 7 league games (1 goal), 7 UEFA Youth League games (3 goals) and 4 Copa del Rey games (1 goal) for the U19A team.
This season, he has played alternately for the U19A team and Barcelona Atlètic (Barcelona B team). On October 19, 2025, Shane made his official debut under Beletti, following the team's 1-2 away defeat to Lleida Esportiu. Since then, he has made a total of 16 appearances for Barcelona B (5 starts), contributing 2 goals and 2 assists.
