On Monday, Real Madrid legend Paco Gento, the only individual to win six European Cups, turned 86 years old.
Gento was alongside Alfredo Di Stefano, Hector Rial, Raymond Kopa and Ferenc Puskas in the fantastic Los Blancos team which won five successive European Cups between 1956 and 1960, and then six years later he captained Real Madrid to yet another continental triumph when they defeated Partizan Belgrade in the final.
This victory made Gento the only footballer to have won the European Cup six times, and in his 18-year career in Madrid he played a total of 602 matches and scored 182 goals.
In addition to the six European Cups, he also won an Intercontinental Cup, two Latin Cups, 12 LaLiga Santander titles and two Copas del Rey.
