Thomas Partey has arrived at Southwark Crown Court to answer charges of rape mere hours after representing Villarreal in their Champions League defeat by Tottenham.
Former Arsenal star Partey, 32, is accused of two counts of rape against one woman and three counts against another.
An additional sexual assault allegation against Partey relates to a third woman, as confirmed by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The alleged offences occurred between 2021-22, during which time the Ghana international was an Arsenal player.
On August 5, Partey was granted bail following a court appearance in London. Spanish side Villarreal signed him on a free transfer two days later.
Partey came off the bench for the Spaniards in the 78th minute and was greeted by boos from Spurs fans. Those jeers continued every time he touched the ball.
