Ahead of Bayern's away match against Viking in the Champions League group stage, Pavlovic spoke to Bild about his decision to turn down an offer from Manchester City this summer.
You turned down Manchester City this summer.
"First of all, I'm very honored to receive an invitation from a top club like Manchester City. I grew up in Munich and have always played for Bayern Munich. My family and friends are here, and for me, there's no better place. So the decision wasn't difficult."
You've been compared to Rodri.
"Everyone knows what a top defensive midfielder Rodri is. He won the Ballon d'Or for a reason. Of course, it's an honor to be compared to such a player. I see it as motivation for my goals: I want to continuously improve and become one of the world's best players."
Your goals for this season.
"We want to win everything: the Champions League, the DFB-Pokal, and the Bundesliga title."
