Pjanic would like a return to Juventus just 1 year on from his move to Barcelona

Miralem Pjanic is regretting his Barcelona move and pining to reunite with returning Juventus boss Max Allegri, according to the Catalans' former sporting director.

The midfielder joined the struggling Nou Camp side last summer in an agreement which saw midfielder Arthur move in the opposite direction.

Pjanic only managed to start six games last season under Ronald Koeman, and he arrived just in time for an explosive 12 months at the club featuring a feud between the board and Lionel Messi, presidential elections and financial turmoil.

It's no wonder the Bosnian is thinking of moving again, especially with Max Allegri returning to Turin. Pjanic won six trophies in three seasons under the Italian boss.

'I met Pjanic three to four days ago in Barcelona, where I was for personal reasons,' Ariedo Braida, who was Barcelona's sporting director from 2015 to 2019, told Tuttosport.

'We met by chance near Camp Nou and we talked.

'He would like a return to Juventus. Allegri certainly know him better than anyone.'

Pjanic made 178 appearances for Juventus in his last stint, but would face a challenge if he return to increase that tally.

The Turin side's nine-year dominance of Serie A ended last season, as Inter Milan won the title while Andrea Pirlo's men could only manage fourth.
