Chelsea transfer news as Christian Pulisic is facing an uncertain future after the sacking of Graham Potter, appointment of Frank Lampard and potential arrival of Mauricio Pochettino

Christian Pulisic is onto his sixth different manager at Chelsea following the return of Frank Lampard.
Pulisic signed for the Blues in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund while Maurizio Sarri was in charge, but the Italian left at the end of the 2018/19 season. Lampard replaced him but he too was gone by January 2021 and Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter have been and gone with Bruno Saltor in interim charge before Lampard's return earlier this month.
Pulisic has struggled for consistent form at Chelsea, but it's hard for a player to settle and find a rhythm when so many managers are hired and fired. It looks likely that the United States of America star will leave Stamford Bridge come the summer with the player's contract up next year.
If Pulisic does not depart Chelsea when the current season concludes, he will be free to negotiate a transfer on his own terms with clubs abroad by the start of January and will be able to leave for nothing next summer. A transfer for a fee looks the most likely, though, because Chelsea's hierarchy will want to shift a player struggling for game-time who would command a fee.
Now, Pochettino could be set to link up with the player when he inherits a bloated squad following the £600million transfer window spend by Todd Boehly. Pulisic could benefit from Pochettino's track record at developing players with Christian Eriksen, Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli flourishing at Spurs.
Bringing in an attacking-minded coach can only be a good thing for Pulisic as he looks to reignite his Chelsea career.
