Ramos: Math was my best subject, and I also enjoyed history

In an interview with Spain's GQ magazine, Ramos recalled his school days.

Ramos still remembers those afternoons: the small square was more appealing than textbooks, but at home, the rules were clear – study first, then play. "I had a fixed study schedule, and for my parents, there was no room for negotiation on that," he said.

He admitted that math was his best subject, and he also enjoyed history, which, according to him, had a direct connection to personal identity: "What you learn in those classes is essentially where you come from."

Besides studying, he also liked to relax in his free time, playing in his room. There he had his Clics blocks, a bicycle, a flamenco guitar, a football, and posters of his idols. However, what Ramos valued most were family photos: "Family has always been one of the pillars of my life."

Ramos admitted that his children are growing up in a different society with more conveniences and technology. Therefore, he strives to pass on the values he learned as a child: "I don't want them to forget where we come from," he explained.
