Real Madrid have hit out at referee Jesus Gil Manzano after he controversially disallowed Jude Bellingham's last gasp-goal against Valencia on Saturday.
After a pulsating clash - in which Real had come back from 2-0 down to level - Bellingham thought he had won the game for his side as he headed home Brahim Diaz's cross.
However, as Brahim put the ball in, Gil Manzano blew his whistle, leading to chaotic scenes before the official showed Bellingham a red card for something he said as Madrid players surrounded the match official.
Seven minutes had been added on, with extra time put on top of that after the official had awarded a penalty to Valencia before he subsequently changed his mind following a review, with the clock at 98:40 at full-time.
And, after their furious reaction on the pitch, Real lambasted Gil Manzano post-match as they slammed the 'unprecedented' officiating.
In a statement they said: 'An unprecedented refereeing decision by Gil Manzano prevented Real Madrid's victory against Valencia at Mestalla.
'With the score at 2-2 and in the last play of the game, Brahim [Diaz] crossed into the area and Bellingham finished off with a header making it 2-3.
'But the referee annulled the goal by signaling the end of the match when the Malaga native's pass went through the air. The league leaders deserved the three points, but added only one in a match that they were losing 2-0.
'Two goals from Vini[cius] Jr. tied the duel, finally resolved with the decision of Gil Manzano.'
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti had defended Bellingham post-match and revealed what the midfielder said before receiving the red.
'He didn’t insult the referee. He was respectful. He spoke in English and just said: “It was a f***ing goal”,' the Italian explained. ‘It’s unprecedented.'
Asked if the players would be able to calm down ahead of their upcoming games he added: ‘They just need to look at the table, we are where we want to be.’
Real remain top of LaLiga but Girona can close the gap to four points if they beat Mallorca on Sunday. Barcelona will go six points behind if they beat Athletic Bilbao.
Ancelotti's side return to action on Wednesday when they take on RB Leipzig in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, with Los Blancos holding a 1-0 lead from the first leg in Germany.
