The Parisians don't want to lose the player this summer for free while Barcelona, Rabiot's main contender, are not considering spending any cash on him in winter.

It all looked like he had a deal with the Catalan club earlier this month but he stopped contact with Barcelona and now Real Madrid could sign him already in this window. But with Frenkie de Jong's sensational arrival, the relationships between the Catalans and the Parisians have deteriorated gravely as the Dutchman was originally supposed to join the Parc des Princes stadium. This whole situation, as well as a clear abundance of the players in the Blaugrana midfield area, could see the Catalans completely giving up on Rabiot.Madrid, meanwhile, are willing to offer PSG a modest sum for the player to not spoil the relationship with the French club.
On the other hand there are also Tottenham, who also have a good relationship with PSG, have recently renewed their interest in Rabiot. They would be even ready to pay €24m for him this window, according to Sun. Mauricio Pochettino has already spoken to the player and would like to sign him to deal with the injury crisis that hit the club.
