'Real Madrid should not be told no!': Isco announces his departure from the club

Spanish star Isco has announced his departure from Real Madrid via an emotional post on social media - having spent nine seasons with the LaLiga champions.

The Madrid No. 23 picked up his fifth Champions League winners medal with Los Blancos on the weekend - just days before announcing his imminent departure from the club.

The Spaniard has been on the periphery of the Real Madrid squad for the past couple of seasons, but that hasn't stopped him from outpouring his love for the club on Instagram.

In his post, Isco wrote: 'I was in Malaga and I knew I had to go. I got engaged to another team. But Real Madrid knocked on my door and Real Madrid cannot and should not be told no, although there are always exceptions.

'I remember telling my people 'f*** Madrid haven't won the Champions League for many years and I have a feeling that it's about to fall' and LA DECIMA arrived, everything that comes after is already history.

'Nine years later, my time at the club that has made it possible for me to fulfill all the dreams I had when I was little comes to an end.

'Apart from fulfilling dreams, winning more titles than I had imagined, playing with the greatest, meeting incredible people: I HAVE HAD A F****** TIME AND THEY CAN'T TAKE MY DANCING OUT OF ME.'

After claiming 'there are always exceptions' to Madrid's powerful call, the Spaniard used a turtle emoji in reference to Kylian Mbappe - who recently decided to snub a move to Madrid.

Fans and players alike were quick to show love towards the departing star, with former Madrid defender Raphael Varane commenting 'Magia !!' whilst current star Luka Modric opted for a simple heart.

The midfielder won three LaLiga's, five Champions League's and four Club World Cup's with Madrid after sealing a move from Malaga in 2013.
