Carlo Ancelotti will rest Karim Benzema for Real Madrid's trip across to the capital to face Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez this weekend.
Per Chiringuito de Jugones, the Madrid coach has decided not to risk the Frenchman, who is suffering from muscle fatigue and could not train properly on Friday.
It's a big loss for Real Madrid, although they have gotten used to playing without Benzema this season due to his injury problems.
Previously, Ancelotti has used Rodrygo Goes and Eden Hazard as replacements through the middle of Madrid's attack.
After getting injured in the Champions League game against Celtic last month, Benzema reappeared last weekend in the 1-1 draw with Osasuna, missing a penalty. He had missed three games injured.
Madrid will now have to do without him again after dropping to second in LaLiga last weekend and with the Clasico against Barcelona to come next Sunday, Oct. 16.
