German referee Felix Brych will take charge of Real Madrid's last 16 second leg tie against Ajax in the Champions League, UEFA confirmed on Sunday.
An international referee since 2007 and promoted to FIFA's elite group in 2009/10, the last time he refereed Madrid was at the Parc des Princes as Los Blancos won 2-1 against Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro. He was the referee when Madrid won the 2017 Champions League final against Juventus in Cardiff, too.
Dutch referee Danny Makkelie will take charge of Tottenham's tie with Borussia Dortmund after the English side's first leg victory by three goals to nil.
