It's not the first time or the last time that Gareth Bale's mysterious injuries have caused problems. Nobody knows for sure whether the Welsh winger is injured or not, but he has left his national team's camp to go back to Madrid. He had physical problems that stopped him playing for Wales against Ireland in the Nations League as both sides bid to avoid relegation from League B2.
Bale was called up despite having problems that stopped him completing the Madrid derby, missing the next game and asking to be taken off against Alaves.
Wales tested him and coach Gareth Bale said he "had something". Sky Sports say it is a thigh injury but nothing official has been stated. His return to the Spanish capital is worrying. Madrid fans were upset because by going with Wales he showed his commitment to the national team while with them any slight knock or pain and he is ruled out.
