Reflecting on a 0-0 score line it could be easy to assume it was a dull occasion but with 21 attempts on goal, eight of them on target, it was not the case in Valladolid on Saturday lunchtime.
Both Real Valladolid and Eibar had chances, with Daniele Verde perhaps going closest for the hopes with a free-kick against the post only minutes after hitting the woodwork with a long-range attempt.
Eibar started slowly and allowed Valladolid to dominate before waking up midway through the first half.
However, a second yellow card for Anaitz Arbilla was equally as unnecessary as it could have been costly for the visitors, who were left clinging onto their point come the final whistle.
