Rodrygo has reportedly surpassed Vinicius in the mind of Brazil coach Tite and is one of the players that has received the most plaudits in evaluation meetings.
According to Brazilian outlet Uol, Rodrygo “has positioned himself” ahead of Vinicius in the mind of the national team coach and is one of the players that has received the most plaudits from Tite’s coaching staff in player evaluation meeting over the past few weeks in Rio de Janeiro.
In their evaluation, the Brazil coaching staff have deemed that Rodrygo has shown more maturity than Vinicius and his development and tactical knowledge is more advanced than his Real Madrid team mate, who received a call up in September for La Canarinha's friendlies against Colombia and Peru in the U.S.
Tite will announce his squad today at 16:00 (CEST) before Under-23 coach Andre Jardine will unveil his player list for the upcoming 2020 Olympic qualifiers against Argentina, Chile and the United States in Tenerife.
