According to Fabrizio Romano, Dumfries has not signaled a return to Inter and is currently focused on Real Madrid.
The Dutch wing-back recently spoke to "Libero," fondly recalling the atmosphere at the Nerazzurri and discussing his family's connection to the club. However, these statements do not indicate an intention to return to Inter.
Romano believes that Dumfries is currently fully committed to Real Madrid's project, enjoying the coach's trust and holding an important position in the team's lineup. Both Real Madrid's management and head coach firmly view him as a crucial player.
Romano also ruled out comparisons to the Romelu Lukaku case, emphasizing that Dumfries is satisfied with his experience in Madrid, and Real Madrid values his performances. While at Inter, Dumfries played in a 3-5-2 system that allowed him to push forward more; his role at Real Madrid is more conservative, but he remains a vital part of the team's tactical setup.
