Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has revealed he plans to stay at the Nou Camp this summer and fight for his place in the team, according to reports.

The Frenchman - who had been linked to Arsenal, Everton and West Ham - has announced his plans to stay at the club until 2023 to see his contract out.

Umtiti has played second fiddle at the Nou Camp due to recurring knee problems but believes he can force his way back into the starting XI, report Diario Sport.

The Cameroon-born defender will also have to compete with Ronald Araujo for a place in the team as the 21-year-old has recently been promoted to the first team.

However, the LaLiga side, who want to reduce their wage bill ahead of next season, are keen to send the 26-year-old out on loan with potential suitors having the option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Arsenal, West Ham and Everton all interested in taking on injury-prone Umtiti, while Manchester United and Chelsea have previously been linked with the centre back.

Barca have reportedly put almost half of their squad up for sale with 'offers invited' on 12 players including Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.

Umtiti is one of the 12 players on the list, compiled by Marca, along with Ivan Rakitic, Neto, Nelson Semedo, Junior Firpo, Arturo Vidal, Martin Braithwaite, Carles Alena, Rafinha Alcantara and Jean-Clair Todibo.

Since signing for Barcelona from Lyon in 2016, Umtiti has played 116 times for the Spanish giants - winning two LaLiga titles and two Copa del Rey's.
