Lautaro Martinez and Paulo Dybala will start together in Argentina’s friendly against Germany, confirmed Lionel Scaloni.
The forwards were both on target at the weekend in the Derby d’Italia, as Juventus beat Inter 2-1 at San Siro with another Argentine, Gonzalo Higuain, getting the winner.
Dybala and Lautaro Martinez join Angel Correa in a trident attack, while Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul plays in midfield.
Inter forward Lautaro Martinez is only 22 years old, but has already scored a remarkable nine goals in 13 senior caps for Argentina.
Dybala will be 26 next month and had fallen out of favour with the Seleccion, as he only found the net twice in 25 games for his country.
There was a friendly against Mexico in November 2018 and a 2-1 win over Chile to secure third place in the 2019 Copa America.
Argentina XI:
Marchesin; Foyth, Otamendi, Rojo, Tagliafico; Paredes, Pereyra, De Paul; Dybala, Correa, Lautaro Martinez.
