With the sale of Munas Dabbur to Hoffenheim for 12 million euros plus a further two million euros in add-ons, Sevilla have begun their hunt for a new striker.
The club does not have a huge budget to work with, but Dabbur's exit has brought in funds which could lead to a new signing.
Sevilla have been searching the market for a while and the president Jose Castro, vice-president Gabriel Ramos and director of football Monchi all met with coach Julen Lopetegui on Tuesday to discuss targets.
One of those is Raul de Tomas, who Benfica have made available six months after he joined from Real Madrid.
A loan with an option to buy is the deal that Sevilla are looking for, but he is not the only candidate.
Lopetegui wants a forward with pace who can break into space and Mariano Diaz, who he signed for Real Madrid in 2018, is another option, though his transfer fee and wages may make a deal impossible.
In the first half of the campaign, it has been made clear that the team need another goalscorer, despite the fact that the budget to bring one in is not as generous as Lopetegui may have hoped.
