Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons, currently on loan at Sevilla, has fractured the head of his right fibula.
The France international was diagnosed with the injury following a collision in training.
“Sevilla's medical team confirmed that Gonalons had suffered a fracture on the head of his right fibula but without dislocation,” read a statement.
“The club is waiting on further development, but the player faces missing out on the next few games.”
The 29-year-old joined Sevilla on loan without an option to buy.
He has already made four appearances for the Spanish side, scoring one goal.
