Shakhtar Donetsk winger Tete was key in his team's 3-2 win against Real Madrid on matchday 1 in the Champions League, and the Brazilian believes that it was down to the way in which Los Blancos defended. In the last two games, Shakhtar have been able to take on Real Madrid and Inter, with Tete recognising the key difference between the two teams, who meet at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Tuesday night.
"Real Madrid left us a lot of spaces to play while Inter pressed the player who had the ball very hard," Tete said. "They [Inter] made it a very physical game."
Tete also spoke about the incident involving his compatriot Vinicius Junior, who came under the microscope after Karim Benzema's conversation with Ferland Mendy that was picked up by microphones in the tunnel. "I don't know what happened between them," Tete admitted. "But I do believe our victory had an impact on Real Madrid."
