According to Goal.com, Spanish singer Ana Mena has denied being in a relationship with Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, calling the rumors "absurd" and "ridiculous."
Mena stated upon her arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport on Sunday that she has been very upset by the public's comments about her in recent days, especially regarding her alleged relationship with the former Barcelona forward. She told reporters: "These are absurd, please, truly ridiculous."
Media previously linked Mena and Torres after they appeared together during the Spanish national team's championship celebration and later at a private party held at a well-known nightclub in Madrid. Mena was also seen wearing the Spanish national team's No. 7 jersey, which is Torres's number for the team.
When asked why she was wearing the No. 7 jersey at the Cibeles celebration, Mena frankly replied: "Well, someone else gave me the jersey, I don't know either." She hoped to quell speculation about the jersey.
Nothing Special
Mena admitted that she had met the former Barcelona forward during the Spanish team's celebration, but she emphasized that this was no different from her interactions with other players. She said: "There were a lot of people there, and I talked to many people." This suggests that her interaction with Torres was just a brief exchange during the celebration.
Mena previously dated actor Oscar Casas. She expressed dissatisfaction with the public's hype, calling the related claims "really ridiculous," and hoped to put an end to the speculation stirred up by the Spanish media in recent days.
