According to the latest report from Marca, the Spanish Supreme Court has rejected Real Madrid's appeal against the Madrid High Court's (TSJM) decision regarding holding events at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, meaning the Bernabéu still cannot host concerts.

As reported by the Supreme Court this Wednesday, the First Section of the Administrative Disputes Chamber has ruled to dismiss Real Madrid's appeal No. 1159/2026 against the judgment of the Administrative Disputes Chamber of the Madrid High Court dated November 24, 2025, and confirms that the 31st Administrative Disputes Court of Madrid should substantively hear the complaint filed by the "Association of Residents Affected by the Bernabéu Stadium" against the Madrid City Council.

The Association of Residents Affected by the Bernabéu Stadium had previously requested the Madrid City Council to declare that the special plan for urban environmental improvement of the stadium and the various licenses granted to Real Madrid due to the renovation project do not cover the hosting of music concerts at the stadium, and the appealed judgment had previously supported the appeal filed by this residents' association.

The section considered that Real Madrid's appeal lacked sufficient grounds to demonstrate an objective appeal interest, among other reasons, noting that the appellant had neither sufficiently proven the legal requirements cited nor specified the alleged damage to public interest.

The ruling also ordered Real Madrid to pay legal costs, up to a maximum of 2,000 euros plus VAT, which will be paid to the "Association of Residents Affected by the Bernabéu Stadium," which had previously opposed the admissibility of this appeal.
