According to Sport, Deportivo La Coruña updated its crest to commemorate its 120th anniversary, removing the letter "L" from the club name and making several detailed refinements.

Deportivo La Coruña chose not to make drastic changes, instead making minor revisions to the crest while retaining all classic elements. The most obvious change is the removal of the letter "L" from "Deportivo La Coruña," changing it to "Deportivo A Coruña," which aligns with the official name of the city. This spelling has been the correct form since 1998. Additionally, the team name has been repositioned to be centered along the vertical axis, with the goal of making the overall composition "more balanced."

Several details enhance the design. Deportivo restored the "original traditional floral ornament" on the large crown, which the club states are "symbols of honor and distinction." The overall color contrast has also been enhanced. The newly added "floating jewel ring" makes the composition appear more refined and "improves its performance at small sizes."

The inner crown has also been updated, along with the belt and Sarra-Calvet flag: the closure now features only one hole, the buckle has been enlarged, the internal gold has been removed, and purple is more prominent. The flag ornament has been refined on both the inside and outside, with gold elements now more prominent.
