According to Sport, Barcelona has added Porro to their summer transfer wishlist, but securing a deal won't be straightforward. Tottenham Hotspur is reluctant to part with the Spanish international, having set his asking price at £75 million.

Reports indicate that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have expressed interest in signing Porro. The player's representatives have reportedly contacted both clubs to discuss the feasibility of a move, which would undoubtedly require substantial investment.
Tottenham Hotspur has set an asking price of £75 million for Porro, a figure that would far exceed the current transfer record for a right-back, which was set by Paris Saint-Germain when they signed Achraf Hakimi for €67 million in July 2021. Tottenham's stance became even firmer after Porro extended his contract for five years last summer.
This new contract strengthened Tottenham's negotiating position, although a departure for Porro in 2027 is not impossible. Despite his current valuation of €45 million, the London club hopes to keep him or at least secure a significant transfer fee if he departs.
Tottenham's performance could also influence the Spanish international's future. When Porro renewed his contract, he believed Tottenham would build a competitive squad under De Zerbi, but results have not materialised. Tottenham has had a disappointing start to the season, struggling in the Premier League.
This situation could work in Barcelona and Real Madrid's favour in their pursuit, especially if Porro himself is open to returning to Spain. The 27-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League's best attacking full-backs. He came through Rayo Vallecano's youth academy and has since played for Girona, Manchester City, and Sporting CP before joining Tottenham in 2023.
Barcelona is considering various options to strengthen their defence, and Porro's attributes—particularly his attacking prowess and international experience—align with their defensive requirements. However, Tottenham's asking price presents a significant obstacle to negotiations.
Fresneda is also an attractive option, but Barcelona must first secure some departures from their backline before reinforcing defence. Flick expressed concerns about the first-half defensive performance against Galatasaray, and he knows the Champions League will demand excellence.
