Uruguay striker Luis Suarez will be fit for this summer's Copa America. "Everything is going to be great, in one month I will be ready," he confirmed to 'El País de Montevideo' after his knee operation on Thursday.
The Copa America in Brazil, which starts on June 14, gets underway in one month and three days. It's the last chance for Suarez to win another trophy this season, given he will miss the Copa del Rey final against Valencia on May 25.
"It's not the same injury as 2017," he explained. "That was a cartilage issue and this time it's my meniscus."
Barça said Suarez will be out for four to six weeks but the forward says he will be 100 percent for the Copa America, where he will be one of the references of the Uruguay team.
