As the business end of the season closes in across Europe, this is usually the time of the season when the big names step up and deliver for their club. With big-name stars like Lamine Yamal headlining our latest Team of the Week, it appears they are fully locked in.

As always, we've used our [a href="https://www.flashscore.com/news/track-football-performances-in-real-time-flashscore-launches-live-player-ratings/tGhsS9aL/"]internal rating system[/a] to select a best XI from all the action.

Goalkeeper

David de Gea (Fiorentina) - 9.1

The former Manchester United keeper has built up a reputation over the years for producing stellar displays between the posts, helping keep unlikely yet incredibly valuable clean sheets for his side. Most of those occasions came in the Premier League with Manchester United, but last night, De Gea performed such heroics at his new club, Fiorentina.

De Gea made six saves and prevented 1.83 goals (let's round it up and say two) to help Fiorentina to a crucial three points in their battle for Serie A survival. It was a brilliant performance from a keeper who would not be beaten despite Lazio's best attempts, one that will make him even more popular in Florence.

Defence

Mats Weiffer (Brighton) - 9.0

You can wait all season for your first goal, and two come along at once... It was a 'London buses' sort of day for Dutch full-back Mats Weiffer, as he scored twice to propel his Brighton side to a 2-0 victory over Burnley.

Both goals came right at the end of each half to secure all three points, with the second the pick of the brace. Arriving at the edge of the box, he showed good composure to place the ball into the corner.

His defensive work was also good, winning 10 of his 15 duels, and winning four of his six tackles as the Seagulls push for a European spot next season.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (West Ham) - 9.1

Another Premier League defender to score twice at the weekend was the Hammers' Konstantinos Mavropanos. The Greek international bookended a brace from Taty Castellanos, as West Ham boosted their survival chances in a 4-0 thumping of basement club Wolves.

Mavropanos' goals both came from corners, the first a towering header, the second a lovely volley belying the stereotype of a centre-back.

He was also imperious at the back, with five interceptions, six recoveries, whilst winning 11 of 13 duels.

Finn Surman (Portland Timbers) - 8.5

Phill Neville's Portland Timbers earned their first win since the end of February, with a 2-1 win over LAFC.

Much of the win was down to the New Zealand international, who put in a sensational performance at the back.

A game high five interceptions, eight clearances and two blocks were a standout, whilst winning all of his seven duels.

David Raum (RB Leipzig) - 9.1

Back to the Bundesliga, where David Raum is continuing to have the best season of his career, and he was, again, on fine form during his side's win over Gladbach.

The German international helped his side to a clean sheet, but was also threatening going forward, with a game-high eight key passes, and he created two clear-cut chances too.

Four wins from five for the Die Rotten Bullen has kept them in the hunt for Champions League football next season, and more performances from Raum will certainly help.

Midfield

Leon Goretzka (Bayern) - 8.9

Staying in Germany, dominant side Bayern, once again sauntered to victory with a 5-0 thrashing of St Pauli.

Leon Goretzka is the first of two players from the runaway league leaders, netting their second in the 53rd minute and assisting the third two minutes later.

But it was the goal from close range which set a new Bundesliga record for goals scored in a single season.

It's been a lean run for the burly German midfielder, but as the Bavarians chase down silverware this season, Goretzka could be key to their fortunes.

Anderson Talisca (Fenerbahce) - 9.1

The title race is well and truly on in the Super Lig, as Galatasaray dropped points again, and Fenerbahce beat Kayserispor 4-0 to reduce the gap at the top of the table to two points with five games to go.

Brazilian veteran Talisca was certainly at the heart of the action for Fenerbahce, scoring a brace in the second half, whilst assisting N'Golo Kante at the end of the first half for his side's first of the day.

He only misplaced three passes in the victory, whilst leading most of the game's attacking metrics.

Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) - 9.8

What more is there to say about the teenage phenomenon Lamine Yamal? The Barcelona winger had another game to remember at the weekend, leading his side to a 4-1 win over Catalan rivals, Espanyol.

The victory also saw them go nine points clear at the top of the LaLiga table. Lamine Yamal netted Barca's third goal, racing behind the defence and finishing with aplomb.

Before that, he set up two more. One from a corner, perfectly placed for Ferran Torres to head in, before slipping him in again later on.

The Spaniard's importance to this side cannot be understated, and at just 18, he wears the responsibility incredibly lightly.

Guilherme (Houston Dynamo) - 9.3

Back to MLS for the final time this week, and it was a mixed day for Brazilian Guilherme. He was superb for Houston Dynamo, getting involved in both goals for his side, but he was 'let down' by his teammates, as they shipped six in a heavy defeat to Colorado Rapids.

It's been a bright start to the season for Guilherme, who has five goals in six games, and he also brought up the century mark for his career against the Rapids.

Forwards

Nicolas Jackson (Bayern) - 9.1

Returning to the side for the first time in four games, Nicolas Jackson showed why he is the perfect rotation option for Harry Kane in the Bayern side.

He netted a goal and got an assist in the St Pauli rout, where he was a threat throughout. He was a constant presence in the box, with 14 touches, and had three shots on target - a game high.

Only a big chance missed was the blip on a day where he dominated.

Donyell Malen (Roma) - 9.2

It's been a mixed bag for Donyell Malen since his loan move from Aston Villa to Roma. Despite 10 goals in 12 games looking like a great record, he had had a few poor performances to suggest he had not completely enamoured himself with the Roma faithful.

That changed at the weekend. The Dutchman scored a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over relegation-threatened Pisa, keeping the side from the Italian capital in the hunt for Champions League football next year.

All three were strikers' finishes, with the pick of the bunch coming after just three minutes, curling it past the goalkeeper into the top corner.
