Alarm bells are ringing in Barcelona's offices, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen not yet having signed a contract extension.
The German goalkeeper's current deal is set to run out on June 30, 2022, so a list of alternative options have been drawn up by the Blaugrana.
At present, Ter Stegen has been unwilling to negotiate a contract renewal, although the amount of time left on his current agreement means this is hardly a pressing issue, especially with Lionel Messi's deal only having one year to run.
There are many voices from within the club that believe Ter Stegen won't accept a contract extension and that the club may be forced to sell him in the summer of 2020 in order to recoup a fee relative to his market value.
In the event of such a scenario, what goalkeepers are there who could conceivably be tempted to join Barcelona?
Jan Oblak - Desired by all
The Slovenian shot-stopper has become the best goalkeeper in the world whilst playing for Atletico Madrid. He has a buyout clause of 120 million euros and is under contract until 2023. At 27 years old, nobody would doubt his quality, but it remains to be seen if his footwork would be good enough to thrive at Barcelona.
David de Gea - Premier League proven
The Spanish goalkeeper has always appeared on the cusp of a big move but has always seemed to remain with Manchester United. At 29 years old he still has a lot of years in front of him, and it's assumed he'd be happy to return to Spain.
Kepa Arrizabalaga - A more realistic option
Frank Lampard and Chelsea have been left unimpressed by Kepa's performances. His career with the Blues has been a rollercoaster, but at 25 years old he has a bright future. He is Spanish and knows the league, while he could prove to be a more affordable option for Barcelona.
Gianluigi Donnarumma - The goalkeeper of the future
The Italian international seems to have been around for many years, but the fact is he started his career at AC Milan at such a young age. At just 21 years old, few have got the experience he does and he can only improve.
Manuel Neuer - An excellent footballer
The Bayern Munich veteran has long been an expert with his feet, although he is about to turn 34. He was considered the best in the world for many years, but his deal in Bavaria is set to expire in 2021.
