There seems to be a fresh twist or turn to the Barcelona social media scandal almost every day and now it has emerged that the Catalan club used six different departments to pay Carlos Ibanez, the director of I3 Ventures.

It was reported earlier in the year that Barcelona hired I3 Ventures to create content on social media that disparaged certain figures in the Blaugrana universe.

An investigation is currently being carried out by Barcelona to see what happened, but information is leaking out and Cadena SER are reporting on the way in which these services were supposedly paid for.

The radio station is claiming that Barcelona split the invoices due to Carlos Ibanez into six, paying six different companies that are linked to the businessman.

These are, according to Cadena SER, I3 Ventures SL, NSG Social Science Ventures SL, Tantra Soft SA, Digital Side SA, Big Data Solutions SA and Futuric SA.

Two are Spanish, three are Argentine and one is Uruguayan.

Furthermore, it is being reported that the payments were split between six different departments at Barcelona, namely La Masia, Barca Innovation Hub, Actius Digitals, Patrocinis, Mitjans de Comunicacio and Fundacio FCB.

It is also being reported that after a year the contract paid from the Fundacio FCB was cancelled.
