Tottenham news: Catch all the latest Spurs headlines, including updates on Brennan Johnson, Daniel Levy and Perr Schuurs

Here is your Tottenham morning roundup on Wednesday, August 23.

Johnson preference

According to The Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest starlet Brennan Johnson prefers a move to Tottenham over London rivals Chelsea.

It is claimed that the Blues are keen on Johnson, who is valued at around £50million by Forest, with West Ham United also interested in the 22-year-old. But the player is said to prefer a move to N17 over Mauricio Pochettino's side due to the fact he is more likely to play regularly for the Lillywhites.

Ticket price finances

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has explained the monetary intricacies regarding Tottenham raising their season-ticket prices this season

“Daniel Levy will have seen the prices charged by Beyonce and other performers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the course of the summer and will want to copy that,” Maguire told Football Insider.

“Matchday tickets are a big opportunity given that Spurs have a large international fanbase, many of which only get to see one or two matches a season. It won’t make a huge difference over the course of the season, probably in the region of £2.5-£3million, which for a club of Spurs’ stature is not significant.

"Attention is focused on breaking even and being the most profitable club in Premier League history instead of what is happening on the pitch.”

Schurrs interest

Torino star Perr Schuurs has concrete interest from several potential suitors with Spurs as one of the teams strongly linked to acquiring his services.

Transfer expert Dean Jones told the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast that the Lillywhites are keeping a keen eye on Schuurs as an option during the summer transfer window.
