Here is your Tottenham morning roundup on Saturday, August 19.
Hugo Lloris transfer exit decision
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has rejected a move to Serie A side Lazio this summer, according to a report from L'Equipe. The former Spurs captain is set to make a switch away from N17 after a long stint with the side, having admitted that he wants a brand new challenge.
Lazio were claimed to have reached an agreement with Tottenham over a deal to sign Lloris this summer, but the shotstopper has since turned that chance down, due to having competition for the number one shirt.
Cristian Romero update
Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Cristian Romero is "good to go" against Manchester United following his early exit in last Sunday's draw at Brentford. Sustaining a head injury early on in the contest, the Argentina international played on for a couple of minutes before he was withdrawn seconds after heading Spurs into an 11th minute lead in west London.
A number of Tottenham players had signalled to the bench regarding Romero's head injury after his goal, thus leading to Postecoglou replacing him with Davinson Sanchez.
Ansu Fati transfer latest
Arsenal and Tottenham could be about to go head-to-head for Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati after reports in Spain suggested he has decided to leave the Spanish giants. Fati has been one of the most exciting players in European football since breaking through the La Masia academy. The 20-year-old is the club's and the Champions League's youngest ever goalscorer after bursting onto the scene in 2019.
