Cameroon ended their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 5-3 win over Burkina Faso on penalties in the third-place playoff match on Sunday night.
The Indomitable Lions had to dig deep to secure a come-from-behind victory as the five-time African champions wiped out a three-goal deficit to draw 3-3 with the Stallions then win on penalties.
Vincent Aboubakar came off the bench to score twice to ensure that the enthralling encounter ended in a draw in regulation time and a goalless extra-time followed at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
The brace took Aboubakar's tally to eight goals in the 2021 Afcon finals which sees him at the top of the tournament's scoring charts - three goals clear of his closest rival and teammate Karl Toto Ekambi.
Aboubakar's performance for the tournament hosts has caught the eye of many football lovers around the world and some took to social media to compare the Al Nassr striker with Belgian marksman Romelu Lukaku.
Most fans feel that the Cameroon star is better than Lukaku, who has endured a frustrating 2021/22 season thus far at his Premier League club, Chelsea.
