Samuel Umtiti wanted to avoid surgery on his knee and has opted for conservative treatment to improve his cartilage problem. With the club's permission he headed to Doha to be treated in the Aspetar medical centre to trr and avoid having an operation that would rule him out for three months.
This is the second time he has had treatment on the problem which came back after he played against Atletico Madrid on Nov 24.
