Barcelona are still working flat out to be able to register all the players whose inscriptions are pending. It was the main objective of the current transfer window, as the sporting management has reiterated on numerous occasions, and LaLiga is accepting them in dribs and drabs. As of today, the employers' association has given the green light to six new registrations.
Barça managed to register two of their three new signings: Ilkay Gündogan and Oriol Romeu, delaying the inscription of Iñigo Martínez, as he is not as high a priority due to injury. Some of the players who have recently signed contract renewals were also regstered: Araujo, Gavi, Sergi Roberto and the returning Ez Abde.
Today, LaLiga's official website also lists five new Barça players as registered, albeit with a reserve team registration. They are the following: Ander Astralaga (26), Lamine Yamal (27), Alejandro Balde (28), Marc Casadó (30) and Fermín López (32). All of them were called up by Xavi Hernández to face Getafe on Sunday at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
Pending the registration of Balde as a first-team player, once his renewal has been made official, the only members of the squad who have yet to register with LaLiga are -- in addition to the aforementioned former Athletic Club player Martínez -- Iñaki Peña and Marcos Alonso.
Sergiño Dest and Clement Lenglet are also missing, but Barça are looking for a new destination for them and they are not part of the sporting plans for the current campaign.
