Roma-owned Alessandro Florenzi has been diagnosed with chickenpox, announced Valencia, so it’s not clear how long he will be out for.
The 28-year-old made the move to the Mestalla on a six-month loan in January and his time there has already been eventful.
He has made three competitive appearances for the club and was sent off for a straight red card offence in the 3-0 Liga defeat to Getafe.
Now a statement released by Valencia confirms Florenzi has been diagnosed with adult chickenpox.
It means he will certainly miss the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Atalanta, which kicks off at San Siro next Wednesday evening.
