Donny van de Beek does not exclude that he will call Frenkie de Jong for advice about Getafe, the upcoming opponent of Ajax in the Europa League. The Spanish club is doing remarkably well and is at third place in La Liga.
Barcelona played against Getafe last Saturday and won 2-1. “I have seen Getafe against Barcelona. They [Getafe] are a physically strong team that is fully absorbed and full of pressure. We must prepare ourselves well for that”, Van de Beek tells FOX Sports.
"I did not speak to Frenkie, but he will no doubt say the same thing about it: that Getafe are a difficult team to play against because they are full of high pressure. Few teams do that at Barcelona. I think that is nice to see. Or I want to call Frankie? That could be, yes. He is always smart, so he knows what their strengths are. We must prepare well."
Ajax won RKC Waalwijk 3-0 with playful ease. "You try to accelerate. Sometimes it goes better than the next, but I try to play as well as possible. You always have to try to put in the right energy. I didn’t always think we were fresh. Thursday should I think it’s a little extra, “says Van de Beek.
