Saul Niguez finished last season with a total of 4,301 minutes on the pitch for club and country in 51 different matches.
With Atletico Madrid, he was only left out of the starting line-up twice - against Monaco in the Champions League when qualification was already assured and against Leganes in LaLiga Santander.
It looks like the Spaniard is going a similar way this season. He's the only Atletico player to have played every minute of the current campaign.
Saul has played more minutes than anyone else in Spanish football this season (1,170) if you count his minutes for the Spanish national team as well as Atletico.
Versatile player
Saul has played in the centre of midfield, on both wings and even at left-back for Los Rojiblancos.
However, he didn't train with the main group on Monday and spent his time working inside rather than on the football pitches.
Despite this, he has been included in Atletico's travelling squad to face Alaves on Tuesday.
But, with four yellow cards to his name, Saul goes to Mendizorroza knowing that one slip-up would mean suspension for Atletico's trip to Sevilla on Saturday.
Atletico have never lost a game in which Saul has scored in - 31 wins and four draws in 35 matches.
