Paul Pogba impressing

Paul Pogba has had a pretty impressive start to the 2021/22 campaign.

United began their campaign with a 5-1 drubbing of Leeds United. Pogba would earn a staggering four assists in said game, becoming only the 7th player to do so in Premier League history:

Pogba then earned one assist vs Southampton, becoming the first-ever player in Premier League history to register five assists after his team’s first two games of a single season:

This superb start to the campaign, though, comes with Pogba’s long-term future somewhat up in the air.

The Frenchman is currently in the final 12 months of his United contract, meaning he can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs as early as January.

And now, after a solid start to 2021/22, Pogba has been quizzed on his future.

As per the Manchester Evening News, Pogba was interviewed before United’s trip to Wolves by Norwegian television channel TV2 and, when questioned over his future by the reporter, he said the following:

“To be honest, I am very happy, I enjoy myself. The Premier League is back, I play football again after a nice holiday, so it is very, very good,” Pogba said.

“When you get to a final and lose, it is always very painful. Now we are hungry to do better than last season and we want to win a trophy.

“I’m happy. To be honest, I’m glad I’m feeling good. I’m healthy, I have no injuries and I’m happy, even if I would have preferred to win [against Southampton]. It’s all about winning.”
