When is the Europa League 2023-24 group stage draw and what are the pots?

The 2023-24 Europa League is fast approaching, with teams eager to find out who they will be playing in this year's group stage.

Sevilla are the current holders of the competition after they defeated Roma on penalties in last season's final.

Qualification for this year's group stage is already well underway, with the play-offs set to end on Thursday, August 31.

West Ham will feature in this year's competition. The Premier League side booked their place in the Europa League after they won the Europa Conference League final last season. Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion will also be competing in the group stage.

When is the group stage draw?

The 2023-24 Europa League group stage draw will take place on Friday, September 1, in Monaco - a day after the play-off second leg.

This season's draw is scheduled to get underway at 8am BST.

For those watching in the United Kingdom, TNT Sport are likely to show live coverage of draw.

UEFA's official website will also stream the group stage draw live.

What are the Europa League pots?

Pot One will feature Europa Conference League winners West Ham along with fellow Premier League side Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho's Roma have also been placed in Pot One, as well as Bayer Leverkusen and Villarreal.

Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton will also be playing in the competition this season and will be placed in either Pot Two or Three.

When are the Europa League group matches?

The first matchday of the 2023-24 Europa League group stage will take place on the 21 of September.
