Barcelona's defensive absences have opened the doors of the first team to Ronald Araujo, who features in their squad for the game against Sevilla on Sunday.
Tall, imposing and strong, the Uruguayan centre-back has impressed Francisco Garcia Pimienta and Ernesto Valverde too, earning his place for the game at the Camp Nou.
On top of his physicality, he knows how to move the ball well.
Valverde had taken him on the tour of Japan this summer, giving him a start against Vissel Kobe.
Araujo arrived at Barcelona last year for 1.7 million euros, though that will likely rise to 5m euros through variables and he has a release clause of 100m euros.
Should he become a first team squad member, though, that clause will double.
The current plan is for him to spend a season working in the B team before a decision is taken next summer about whether he'll continue at the club or be loaned elsewhere.
