Chelsea's club-record signing Enzo Fernandez capped off a dazzling display against Borussia Dortmund by gifting a young pitch invader his shirt.
The £106.8million January arrival won his midfield battle against Jude Bellingham as the Blues beat BVB 2-0 to advance into the Champions League quarter-finals.
Graham Potter's side went into the Stamford Bridge clash trailing 1-0 from the first leg, but goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz kept the west Londoners in the competition.
And it was an influential performance from Fernandez, with the 22-year-old winning possession [ten times] more than anyone else.
Following the full-time whistle, a young Chelsea fan made his way onto the pitch where he darted towards the Argentine World Cup winner.
Instead of moving out of the way or asking stewards to usher him back to the stands, Fernandez stopped in his tracks to gift the youngster his jersey.
Overwhelmed by the experience, the supporter then burst into tears after being overcome by his emotions.
And Fernandez was quick to give him a hug with stewards then intervening to take the kid back to his family.
Since joining from Benfica earlier this year, Fernandez has started all seven games he has been available for.
But he has joined a Chelsea team in transition with new players and a new manager, resulting in inconsistent form that has left them tenth in the Premier League.
However Fernandez has told the Blues fans to be patient as he insisted that Potter is the right man for the club.
In a recent interview with the Telegraph, he said: “I would encourage the fans to be patient.
“We have got a lot of new faces here and it is a restructuring of the club and the playing staff. Trust us.
“Trust the players, trust the backroom staff, trust the manager.
“Never forget that we are representing you, that we are trying to win games.”
Next up for Chelsea is a trip to Leicester on Saturday where they are looking to win three successive matches in all competitions.
