Zinedine Zidane has distanced himself from criticism surrounding his Real Madrid side this season. Los Blancos dropped more points in LaLiga Santander in a 1-1 draw against Villarreal on Saturday.
Zidane's men have been inconsistent throughout this campaign and couldn't bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Valencia before the international break.
"I'll go forward with excitement," Zidane told the media after the Villarreal draw. "You get on with what you're doing and I'll get on with my job.
"We've dropped two points [here]. I have to congratulate my players for the effort they made. It annoys me because of the effort we made. We deserved a lot more today."
Mariano Diaz was arguably Real Madrid's brightest player at La Ceramica, scoring Real Madrid's only goal, but he was taken off before full time.
"He'd not played for a long time and he was exhausted," Zidane explained.
Zidane also responded to MARCA's reports that Isco, who came on as a substitute against Villarreal, is ready to leave Los Blancos in January.
"There's nothing in it," Zidane said. "We're not going to talk about those that are here. Isco is here and that's it."
