Zinedine Zidane will become Real Madrid manager TODAY as Santiago Solari has said goodbye to everyone already, according to Spanish television station laSexta's show El Chiringuito de Jugones.

It is reported that Real Madrid will hold a Board of Directors meeting this afternoon at 18:00 CET, announcing the departure of Solari and possibly the re-arrival of Zidane.

After elimination from Copa del Rey and Champions League, as well as slipping too far behind in La Liga, Solari's time at the club is rumoured to be numbered.

Zidane has been the preferred option for club president Florentino Perez, report El Chiringuito and other Spanish media such as Marca and AS.

El Chiringuito also suggests that Santiago Solari has already bid farewell to everyone in Valdebebas, Real Madrid's training complex.

Zidane was a La Liga and Champions League winner during his five years at Real Madrid. His managerial record is even better, guiding the club to three consecutive Champions League titles for the past three seasons.

However, the 46-year-old Frenchman opted not to stay at the club at the end of last season, but is now reportedly willing to take the helm again.
