AC Milan are considering a 'sensational' move for Romelu Lukaku, under the noses of their bitter rivals Inter.
Lukaku spent last season on loan at Inter Milan and the Italian giants are eager to extend that loan for another year, with the player reluctant to return to parent club Chelsea.
But Gazzetta dello Sport claim that a 'sensational' idea has been born across the city in Milan, with AC plotting a permanent move for the Belgian in a bid to refresh their ageing attack.
The Italian newspaper explains that Milan are eager to negotiate a deal to buy him outright, which is infinitely more attractive to Chelsea than another loan deal.
Sandro Tonali is closing in on a move to Newcastle and Milan are reportedly eager to reinvest that money to make a splash ahead of next season.
