AC Milan great Roberto Donadoni is saddened to hear of Silvio Berlusconi's passing today.
Donadoni was part of one of the great Milan teams Berlusconi helped build during his presidency.
He said: "It's news that saddens me a lot, I don't even know how to describe it. He was one of those people you find it hard to think he's gone. For me he will always be a person present, from a human and professional point of view, passed on important things to me and this will stay with me for the rest of my life.
"I heard from him after he left the hospital, he still managed to pass on incredible things.
"A memory? There are many, but perhaps the first Champions Cup because it represented the first great goal. It was perhaps the moment that I carry most within me. And then I will always remember his ability to predict, he was aware of what he could do and he always spoke about it ahead of time, he transmitted this awareness to us."
