Aaron Ramsdale ranks football's biggest wind-up merchants

Aaron Ramsdale has ranked Jamie Vardy, Sergio Ramos and Jose Mourinho as the biggest wind-up merchants in football.

In a hilarious video for ESPN, the Arsenal and England goalkeeper was asked to rank several stars on how good they are at winding up opposition players and fans.

Ramsdale himself was on the list, having been involved in many wind-up stories in the past, including against clubs such as Leeds, Brighton and Tottenham.

The players and coaches were put into five different categories, with 12 different stars named.

Vardy, Ramos and Mourinho were ranked the top three on the list, with the others scattered around.

'He's one of the GOATS I think', Ramsdale said of Vardy, who regularly antagonises fans with celebrations in matches.

'Is he a master or a wind-up? No, he's a master. Well, he smashed up a corner flag when he scored past me in the last minute. Thanks for reminding me about that.'

On Ramos, he added: 'He's a GOAT as well, isn't he? I reckon a lot of this is going to be GOATS. They're just so good at slowing down the game and making it difficult for you.'

And on Mourinho, he said: 'Why is there not a GOAT tier? I think he was the first one ever. Master of the dark arts. I think he taught Ramos everything he knows.

'Ramos has played under him, Costa's played under him, Pepe's played under him. There are four on that list who have played with him, that's why he's the GOAT.'

Diego Costa was ranked in the 'wind-up merchant' category, with Ramsdale cautious because of Arsenal still having to play Wolves again this season.

Pepe, meanwhile, was put in the 'pain in the backside category' alongside himself.

After putting manager Mikel Arteta in the 'actually, he's a good lad' category, he placed Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes alongside him, before moving him up to the 'cheeky' tier with Luis Suarez and fellow England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Emiliano Martinez and Richarlison, who Ramsdale clashed with earlier this season, completed the tier list, both slotting into the 'wind-up merchant' category.
