Max Allegri has warned Juventus not to take Parma lightly on Saturday. “Titles pass through games like these.”
“Historically it’s a field where Juve have always struggled,” he said at a Press conference.
“it won’t be a walk in the park because titles pass through games like these. The first mini-cycle is coming to an end, but I want to have a peaceful international break and to do that, I want the three points.
“My defence is confirmed, but I have a doubt on the right between Cancelo and Cuadrado. One of Emre Can and Khedira will play in midfield, Pjanic is fit and De Sciglio is available. Up front, it’ll be Cristiano Ronaldo with Mandzukic.
Allegri was then asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to skip the Champions League draw, amidst suggestions it was instigated by Luka Modric winning UEFA’s Men’s Player of the Year award.
“It was a personal decision, which must be respected, but it shows how he always wants to work in order to remain the best player in the world,” added the Coach.
“CR7’s arrival must be an incentive for Dybala, but I see him looking calm. He must find the best condition. As for Sami [Khedira], a player like him can’t be criticised.
“I’ve always been inspired by those who win, such as Capello and Lippi. Ultimately it doesn’t say on their honours list, ‘they played well but finished second.’
“Once I retire, some of the good guys will tell me what it means to play well…”
